Attacked with an axe by her former owner, then dumped from a car 80kms from a town, Delilah was left to starve in Western Queensland. This special girl needed a lot of love, and we helped her find it.
Delilah was found in a very bad way dumped on the highway 80km from anywhere. She was taken to the Roma vet where a search for her owners began. LR heard of the story & wanted to help. Her story filtered it’s way through, which involves a horrible story involving an axe to inflict little Delilahs injuries. Once she had recovered enough to fly to Brisbane she came to her foster carer to recuperate. It took her hardly any time at all to settle in, no one could have blamed her for being wary of humans. But she was a very forgiving puppy & loved people. She discovered that snuggles with humans were very comfortable & promptly fell asleep whenever she found a human pillow.
Delilah was given the all clear from the vet, with the chance of mild brain damage. This seemed to affect her ability to coordinate her back & front legs when she was trying to climb up on furniture &/or humans or when she was running & trying to change direction when she was playing.
After a couple of months she was a happy confident beautiful puppy on her way to her new furever home in Melbourne where she has 2 very loving parents & a big fur brother.
