Dexter’s Story
Dexter was born with a cleft palate. Because this requires expensive surgery, Dexter was surrendered, and faced little hope of adoption.
From Dexter!
I am now 16 months old and loving my life. I live with my mum and dad, Tim and Barbara. I have a big brother Teddy who is a 15 yr old Pomeranian and a sister called Millie who is a 2 year old cat. We all get on just fine although Teddy being a bit older likes to rest a lot lol. Millie and I play all the time. We run and chase each all around the garden and in the house and when we are all worn out we sleep together. I go for plenty of walks and love to go out in the car. We often go to visit my cousins Angus and Co Co, they are both Maltese cross..its great fun when we are all together.
My operation on my cleft palate worked really well I have no problems with this.
My favourite things to do are as follows:
I like to eat
I like to chase the ball
I like to eat
I like to chase Millie
I like to eat
I like to fetch the stick
I like to eat
I like to lick Teddy and Millie’s dinner bowls clean.
Mum and Dad went on holiday recently and I went to stay with my foster carer. I was so excited to see her that I wet myself I stayed with her for a week and we done so much and am looking forward to doing this again next year when mum and dad go away again. Oh, and I ate lol. We all would like to thank Lab Rescue for all the help given to me with my op and my adoption.. I have found my forever home.
