Maddie’s Story

Our family adopted the lovely Maddie after extensive research through Lab Rescue.  We now have the most gentle and placid lab on the face of the earth!  Our beautiful 3 year old chocolate has had a tough start in life, but no longer.  She was incredibly shy to begin with and has taken some weeks to warm to us.  

She now seems to be enjoying life though, with long walks in the park, trips in the car and even her first dip in the ocean seemingly far more enjoyable for her than at first!  She is tasting lots of new foods (loves her veggies) and exploring a whole new world in Melbourne. Our two boys love being with her and although she doesn’t play like other labs, she loves lying with us getting hugs and kisses.  The whole family is so very taken with her and we love having her in our lives.  It is amazingly rewarding watching her slowly grow in confidence and trust. 

I encourage anyone considering adopting from this organisation to absolutely do so. They are so professional and terrific.
