Beau is a handsome 2-year-old black Labrador who’s the definition of “velcro dog”. Once he decides you’re his person, he will follow you everywhere, stick to you like glue,
and make being your shadow his fulltime job. He’s beautifully chill at home, gentle when he wants to be, and playful when the mood strikes. He loves people, gets along great
with other dogs, and when you praise him for getting something right, he beams with pride like it’s the best moment of his life.
BUT … Before you fall too far in love with him, Beau is not for just any home. He is holding out for the right one.
What Beau Needs (His Wish List).
- Beau is looking for a home where someone is there nearly all the time. His world makes more sense when his people are with him, and being alone is really hard for him.
- He’ll need a home that understands that separation anxiety in dogs is real, that building confidence takes time, and that patience isn’t optional here … it’s essential. His dream home will also offer: A commitment to training and understanding. He’s smart, knows basic commands, and loves to learn!
- A secure yard where he can play and burn energy.
- Strong arms for walks: He’s a puller and very strong, though he knows how to heel when he’s focused.
- Bonus would be a confident dog friend could help him, but he’s also happy to be the only prince.
Most importantly, Beau needs humans who are home and are prepared to help him work through his separation anxiety. They need to understand it won’t happen overnight, and that giving him space to feel safe is the quickest way to earn his trust. He blossoms when he’s understood.
His Best Qualities:
- Chill and gentle at home. Great with other dogs but sometimes lacks confidence.
- Toilet trained and knows basic commands.
- Loyal beyond measure once he bonds with you.
Important things You Need to Know -Beau has so much love to give, but he needs a home who will meet him where he’s at; his new owner(s) need to be patient, understanding, and present. If you’re willing to put in the time, Beau will reward you with a bond that’s honest, deep, and beautiful.
At a weight of 39kgs and strong on the leash he will need ongoing training.
He is not suitable for someone who can’t physically manage a powerful dog or for a household with young children.

Beau is located in Port Macquarie NSW and is available for adoption. He comes desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, heart and intestinal worm treated with a ton of love for a rehoming fee of $900.00.
