Meet Winnie
Winnie is a stunning 12-month-old Labrador with a heart so full of devotion it practically squeaks. For Winnie, love isn’t something given away cheaply to every passerby, it is a precious gift reserved for “her person.” Once you are in her inner circle, she will melt into your arms, follow you with unwavering loyalty, and shower you with a level of affection that feels like a full-time job.

She is exceptionally bright, eager to please, and thrives when she has a clear “why” and a steady “how.” When Winnie nails a cue and receives your praise, her entire body beams with pride.

But before you fall in love with those soulful eyes, you must understand that Winnie is looking for a very specific kind of sanctuary.

The World Through Winnie’s Eyes
For Winnie, the outside world is often loud, unpredictable, and overwhelming. While most dogs approach the unknown with curiosity, Winnie approaches it with caution. She is not a “take-anywhere” dog today, and she may not be for some time. She needs a navigator, someone who understands that the dog they adopt today is not the dog she will become with time, patience, and safety.

What Winnie Needs (The Non-Negotiables)
Winnie requires a home that is quiet, predictable, and low-traffic. She is looking for a human who works with the dog in front of them, rather than trying to mold her into a preconceived idea of what a Labrador “should” be.

Her ideal match will provide:
Strong Boundaries & Structure: Winnie feels safest when the rules are clear and consistent. She needs a human who is comfortable setting firm but gentle expectations.
A “Slow-Cooker” Approach: You cannot rush her comfort. Her new home must be willing to let her progress at her own pace, acknowledging that pushing her only set things back.
A Crate-Friendly Household: Winnie views her crate as her safe haven. Her new home must value and maintain this sanctuary for her.
Water Access: Whether it’s a pool or a backyard hose, she is an enthusiastic water baby!
No Small Animals or Young Children: Due to her boisterous puppy energy and a keen interest in chasing smaller creatures, as well as her being a bit nervous with the world right now, she needs an adult-only and slow environment
Training Commitment: She has an excellent foundation, but her learning journey is lifelong and she LOVES to learn
Her Best Qualities
Unmatched Loyalty: Once the bond is formed, you have a friend for life.
Olympic-Level Cuddler: She has no concept of personal space once she trusts you.
Work Ethic: She loves to learn and thrives under consistent guidance.
Toy Obsessed: Coffee wood sticks, balls and toys of all shapes and sizes are her greatest joy.
Well-Mannered: She is toilet trained and walks beautifully on a lead.
A Note on the Journey
Winnie is a “project of the heart.” She isn’t looking for a casual owner, she’s looking for a partner. If you are someone who finds beauty in the slow build of trust, who respects boundaries, and who is willing to be the calm in her storm, Winnie will reward you with a bond that is honest, deep, and incredibly beautiful.

She is ready to meet her forever match…slowly…and from a respectful distance at first, of course.

Winnie is located in Brisbane and is available for adoption. She’s been desexed, vaccinated and microchipped and is up to date with all worming and flea & tick treatments. This gorgeous girl is available to the right home for a rehoming fee of $1000.00
