Rescue Lab Tested Vets – Great Vets, with Great Karma
Our Labs visit the vet when in our care for vaccinations, desexing and a general health check. Our network of dedicated vets give the very best care for our dogs, while helping us keep our overheads down. Over time, our foster carers and our core team get to know who the best vets are in each city and work with them in partnership. We highly recommend our partners. Not only are they great vets, but they care for vulnerable dogs – many of whom would be lost without their professional care. Our vets have seen many rescue Labs and are always professional and caring.

Become a Labrador Rescue Recommended Veterinary Surgery
We’re always looking for quality vet care from compassionate and professional veterinarians. Our Labradors may just need a health check, desexing, or they may require extended treatments for heartworm or ACL injuries.
In exchange for your excellent care and rescue organisation fees, we offer you social media recommendations (100k followers) and a Google-friendly website link. If you can give our Labradors the care that they need, we’d love to hear from you.
Just a Few of our Favourite Vet Clinics
Labrador Rescue works with partner vets to provide vital care for our rescue dogs. Each vet clinic provides discounted care to help us care for more dogs in need. That means our partner vets know labrador retrievers. They see so many of these beautiful dogs that they’ve become the experts in the breed. If you’re looking for the best vets for your labrador, we recommend supporting one of our partner clinics. We hear so many amazing stories of kindness and compassion from our partner vet clinics from our many foster carers. Often, a rescued dog arrives in terrible shape, long overdue for vet care. Our partner vets aren’t just ‘doing their job’. They genuinely care for the well-being of our rescue dogs. Here are just a few of the stories our foster carers have shared about brilliant vet clinics.

“He was evacuated from a small cage in a meth house, critically ill and unable to walk. Anvet Kedron kept their staff late on a Friday night to give him immediate life-saving treatment and much-needed pain relief. They’ve been nothing short of saints. They’ve cared for every foster dog with professionalism and compassion. I cannot say enough good things about them.”
– Jem, Foster Carer, Brisbane

“Kippax Vet Hospital in Canberra were very, very kind to Sarita a Siverstream lab who of course was terrified going there. Of course they should be too but I think they were particularly attentive to her needs. They made her a bed in a consulting room when she ‘froze’ while waiting for her desexing procedure. Happily carried her to and fro including out to our car when she was too frightened to walk. She benefitted from their approach and warmed up to them and later visits became a bit easier”
