Violet Update - April 7th, 2016

4 weeks post op....

Picture
Violet is 4 weeks post op and we are noticing such a positive change!

Stitches are out and she has healed well. Violet is unhappy that she doesn't get a daily bath anymore, but we are ecstatic that she no longer needs daily bathing to prevent urine burns. Her back legs and tail are no longer constantly drenched with urine. Violet is dry 95% of the time!!

Currently, she is leaking inconsistently and only very small amounts, Dr. Dave thinks this could be due to a UTI as she is now using her bladder, so we have a 3week course of antibiotics that will clear it up. Violet has been an A+ student in toilet training, considering she didn't even know how to use her bladder, we think she has progressed extremely well. We have stopped toileting on lead, Violet is learning to manage her bladder like a big girl now!
Thank you to everyone who has supported Violet on her journey and thank you Elly for being a wonderful carer.
We will continue to keep everyone posted on Violet's progress.
