Meet 5 year old Maverick! He could possibly be the happiest dog in the world. When Maverick wags his tail, his whole body follows. He has earnt the name “wiggly boy” from his foster mum for this reason, because he’s always wagging! No dog is perfect, but Maverick really does come close. He listens when he’s called, he doesn’t jump fences, he stays inside when his foster family is at work without accidents and he is super friendly with dogs and people alike. His foster mum says if it weren’t for her moving country in the coming years, he wouldn’t be going anywhere! Maverick is a people dog, and he loves cuddles and attention, however he has proved okay to be at home for normal working hours. So if you work full time, he’d be okay with that. Maverick gets a little anxious in the car and might whine a little bit, but there is no other ill behaviour when this happens. He is also learning how to walk calmly on the lead and not to jump up when he gets excited. However, he is a quick learner and has made strides in the short time he’s been in care. He loves his foster brother so much and would be happiest with another friend to play with.
Maverick is located in Brisbane and is available for adoption. He’s been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. He’s up to date with all worming and flea & tick treatments. This gorgeous boy is available to the right family for a rehoming fee of $800.
