PRIVATE REHOMING
MC number: 900164001865724
If you are selected as a potential home, our rehoming volunteer or the dog’s owner will be in touch.
Please note, the timeline for private rehoming dogs is controlled by the owner and not Labrador Rescue.
Private rehoming dogs remain with their owner until a suitable home is found. Labrador Rescue is assisting by providing suitable applicants to the owner for consideration. Labrador Rescue has not personally met private rehoming dogs and is therefore reliant on the owner providing accurate information.
To help ensure a smooth and efficient process, please submit your expression of interest through the email address listed on this profile only. This assists our volunteers in managing enquiries and responding as promptly as possible. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Meet Ace
Ace is a smart, affectionate and loyal 6-year-old boy who forms strong bonds with his people and thrives on being part of the family. He’s incredibly quick to learn, obedient, and responds really well to structure and guidance — he genuinely enjoys having a routine and knowing what’s expected of him.
Ace has a playful, fun-loving personality and absolutely loves a game of fetch — it’s one of his favourite ways to burn energy and connect with you. He also has a cute quirk where, when he’s excited, he likes to carry something in his mouth (usually a toy or leaf), which helps him regulate that excitement.
When meeting new people or dogs, Ace can come across a little full-on at first due to his enthusiasm. He just gets very excited! Once he’s had that initial moment, he settles quickly and interacts well. He does well with slow, calm introductions and is much more interested in people, attention, and being included than anything else.
Ace walks quite well on lead overall, however he can react when he sees other dogs while out walking, so he will need an experienced owner who can continue working on his lead manners and confidence around other dogs. With consistency, guidance, and ongoing training, Ace responds really well and is eager to please.
At home, Ace is well behaved and relaxed. He doesn’t tend to jump, although he can be a little bouncy when excited.
Ace would thrive in a home that:
– Is active and can provide regular exercise and engagement
– Has experience with excitable or strong dogs
– Can continue his lead training and support calm dog interactions
– Ideally has older children or no young kids, as he can get excited and join in when children run around
Ace is a beautiful, loving dog with so much to offer. With the right home and continued guidance, he will make an incredibly loyal, fun, and devoted companion.
Ace is located in the Shoalhaven region of NSW but the owner will consider travelling to Sydney/Canberra areas for the right home for Ace.
Ace is vaccinated, desexed and microchipped.
