Shadow and Luna are a beautiful, bonded pair who complement each other perfectly. They are affectionate, loyal, family-oriented dogs who thrive on companionship and love being involved in everyday life. While they each have their own unique personalities, together they make a wonderful team and are looking for a home where they can continue to share their lives side by side.

Meet Shadow aged three years MC Number 953010006608463

Shadow is the definition of a gentle giant. With the sweetest nature you could ever hope to find, he is kind, calm, and incredibly loving. He adores people and is happiest when he is close to his family, often following his humans from room to room—earning his name as your very own “shadow.”

Despite his size, Shadow still thinks he is a lap dog and will happily curl up beside you on the couch or lie at your feet while you relax or cook dinner. He loves affection, cuddles, and being included in family activities. His calm and comforting presence makes him a joy to have around, and his loving nature shines through in everything he does.

Meet Luna aged one year MC Number 953010007029181

Luna is a happy, energetic girl who brings fun and excitement wherever she goes. Full of life and enthusiasm, she loves to play, explore, and be part of the action. Whether she’s chasing a ball, joining in family adventures, or seeking out tummy rubs and cuddles, Luna approaches life with endless joy.

She is affectionate, loyal, and thrives on attention. Luna loves being with her people and especially enjoys spending time with children. After she’s had the opportunity to burn off some energy, she’s more than happy to settle down for cuddles and affection.

Living with Children

Both Shadow and Luna have been raised with children and have proven themselves to be gentle, patient, and loving family companions. They currently live with two young boys and enjoy playing, roughhousing, and spending time with them.

They have never shown aggression towards the children and have always been kind and gentle. Like many Labradors, they can become a little boisterous when excited, but this excitement is friendly and quickly settles. Both dogs love affection and will happily climb onto your lap if given the opportunity.

Other Animals

Shadow and Luna have had limited exposure to other animals. They have shown interest in neighbouring cats and enjoy chasing birds at the park, but they have never harmed another animal.

When around other dogs, they are generally cautious rather than confrontational. Any introductions to resident pets should be managed appropriately, as with any new dog entering a home.

Exercise and Training

Both dogs enjoy their walks and absolutely love swimming, particularly at their favourite local pond. Their enthusiasm for getting there can result in some pulling on the lead, especially as they know exactly where they’re headed. Shadow’s size can make this more noticeable.

They would benefit from continued lead training and guidance from owners willing to build on the foundations already in place. Both are eager to be with their people and respond well to positive attention and encouragement.

Shadow and Luna are both desexed and up to date with vaccinations.  Available for a placement fee of $500 payable direct to Labrador Rescue.

Private rehoming dogs remain with their owner until a suitable home is found. Labrador Rescue is assisting by providing suitable applicants to the owner for consideration. Labrador Rescue has not personally met private rehoming dogs and is therefore reliant on the owner providing accurate information.
